£5,000 Grants to Help Reduce Energy Usage
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to small and medium sized businesses in the South East to implement projects that will help reduce energy usage and CO2 emissions from buildings. Around 60% match funding is required and proposed projects must cost at least £2,600.
What can the grant be used for?
Grants can only be awarded for projects that will result in a demonstrable reduction in CO2 emissions from buildings. Examples of projects that have been funded include:
- Energy efficient lighting
- Cavity and solid wall insulation
- Efficient boilers
- Waste heat recovery systems
- Double glazing
Can I apply for a grant?
To be eligible for a grant, your organisation must:
- Have been trading for at least 1 year
- Be based Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Kent and Medway, Oxfordshire, Surrey or SussexNot be part of a franchise
- Own the building or have a long term lease agreement in place
- Employ fewer than 250 people
- Have an annual turnover of under €50 million
- Spend at least £3,000 on energy per year
- Propose a project costing at least £2,600
