Help Shape Grants Programme for Rural Businesses

West Sussex County Council are looking for your help to develop their application to Defra for funding to support businesses in rural areas.

Over the past five years rural Sussex businesses have benefited from more than £2.8 million LEADER grant funding for projects including:

As a result at least 67,000 local residents are benefiting from improved services or facilities.

Funding 2015 to 2020

Local authorities are now applying to Defra for funding to support businesses through 2015 to 2020. West Sussex County Council would like your help to shape their bid. Their proposed focus is on increasing farm and forestry productivity and the provision of rural services for small rural businesses, farmers, foresters and community organisations in areas of rural West Sussex, Lewes District and parts of Hayling Island.
