Turners Hill Primary School in West Sussex has installed a range of technologies to generate their own electricity andĀ improve energy and water efficiency. These include photovoltaic solar panels, wind turbines and a rainwater harvesting system.

As Headteacher Ollie Burcombe explains however, it is the children who are champions of sustainability in the school. Amongst other activities they look after the school’s chickens, grow their own fruit and vegetables and ensure waste materials are recycled or composted.
