Event Report: Museum Facilities Managers Forum

On 16th October we held our eighth (and final!) Museum Facilities Managers Forum at Weald & Downland Living Museum. The event included a tour of their famous Gridshell Building and a discussion on the future of the forum. Read the full report.

 

Clean Growth Strategy

The government have published the Clean Growth Strategy. Featuring 50 low-carbon plans and policies, it is supported by a £2.5bn investment in low-carbon innovation. Jan Rosenow and Richard Cowart of the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) have said that more details are needed on specific policies for energy efficiency; but businesses wanting to act now can access support through our Utilise Plus Programme.

 

£10 Million Grant Funding for Heating Innovation

The government has launched a £10 million grant scheme to develop energy efficient heating and hot water technologies, processes and tools. Any organisation can apply for a grant of between £200,000 to £2 million. Find out more.

 

£10,000 I.T. Grants

NET Solutions Wales are offering grants of up to £10,000 to voluntary and charity organisations to purchase I.T. equipment, including laptops, Smartboards and projectors. For information on how to apply, visit their website.

 

Light Up Dartford

Members Spotlight

This month, our (energy efficient) spotlight is on The Green Light Company. They help organisations maximise savings by switching to a more energy efficient lighting source, such as LEDs. They also specialise in lighting controls and can ensure you’re up-to-date with emergency lighting regulations.
