Green Growth Platform: Summer Social – 14th July
Summer is here (hopefully!) so why not join us and the Green Growth Platform team to relax and network over a delicious, locally sourced summer BBQ and a glass of wine overlooking the sea at the Yellowave Beach Club? And for the more energetic, you can challenge colleagues or new friends to a game of volleyball! 14th July, 16:00 to 18:00, free to attend. Full details and bookings.
The Sustainable Business Network runs an exciting programme of seminars, case study visits and networking events on behalf of the University of Brighton’s Green Growth Platform.
New Case Study: Seaford Golf Club
Annual reductions of gas and electricity usage of 12.6% and 13.2% have been achieved at Seaford Golf Club through quick-win energy efficiency measures. Roof and hot water pipework insulation saved £640 per year. Installed by club members, material costs were recouped in in less than 12 months.
A sub-meter was fitted to monitor electricity use by a trace heating system. It was found it could be switched-off for three months, saving £575 per year. The golf club received a free Energy Audit through the Energy Efficient East Sussex programme. Read more
