Utility Management Workshop
Hold an event! Over 300 businesses have attended a Utility Management Workshop. If you would like to hold a course, perhaps for businesses in your supply chain or local authority area, please get in touch. Full and half-day versions available.
Utility Management Workshops cover energy, waste, water and environmental management. We also offer workshops which focus solely on saving energy, as part of our Utilise Plus programme. These workshops are fully-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for eligible small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
A practical workshop which will help your business save money through improving energy, waste management, water efficiency and environmental management.
Utility Management Workshops help you decode your utility bills and look for areas where savings can be made for your organisation through energy, waste and water best practice. Plus you’ll explore environmental management and how to win new customers using your ‘green credentials’.
“I found the range of knowledge and expertise of the presenters made the seminar very interesting.”
Jon Grey, SOLL Leisure, Wantage
With presentations from resource efficiency experts and interactive exercises, the workshop explores:
- Measures for energy efficiency, e.g. lighting, heating
- Utility billing and tariffs; electricity, gas, water and waste
- Benchmarking and carbon foot-printing
- Waste reduction and recycling
- Water efficiency
- Environmental legislation
- Staff engagement
- Renewable energy
- Marketing your green credentials
- Grant and funding opportunities
- Environmental Management Systems
What You’ll Go Away With
With the help of resource efficiency experts you will create an Action Plan detailing the practical things you can do at your organisation to your improve environmental efficiency and reduce utility costs.
Each attending organisation also receives further information and guidance after the workshop, to build on the knowledge and skills learnt on the day.
Who Should Attend
The workshop is designed for businesses with commercial premises and energy bills. Previous delegates include manufacturers, community centres, office based firms, hoteliers, retailers, sports clubs, charities, restaurateurs…
The workshop is not intended for those who work in the environmental sector (e.g. environmental consultants, solar installers, utility brokers) for whom our networking events are more suitable.
To arrange a workshop for businesses in your supply chain or premises managers across your commercial portfolio for example, please contact the Sustainable Business Partnership CIC on 01273 964239 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
