“Many thanks for arranging the team of volunteers from the chartered surveying company. They completely revamped the garden and created a fantastic new orchard!”

Employee Engagement Days
We offer expert support to organisations wishing to get employees more engaged in their Sustainability Programme or ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Content and format are flexible according to your needs. A format that works well is an interactive two hour session to engage and enthuse your employees to take ownership of your organisation’s environmental performance. You could also add a volunteer conservation or team building afternoon to complete the experience for your employees.
Benefits to your organisation
A workshop can help:
- Engage and enthuse employees with your environmental initiatives
- Increase energy, water and waste efficiency
- Reduce the cost of your utility bills
- Discover new ideas for environmental improvement
- Meet Environmental Management System requirements
- Put your ISO 14001 system into terms staff can understand
- Demonstrate to your customers your commitment to sustainability
Preparation
One of our sustainability experts will work with you before the event to get to know your organisation and discuss your environmental targets and how the workshop can help achieve them. We gather information, such as energy, water and waste consumption data, to use in the activities and presentations on your workshop and work with you to plan new environmental and cost saving initiatives to launch during the event.
Suggested Programme
Whilst every workshop is different, tailor-made to reflect your business activities and environmental goals, the programme will likely follow…
Introduction and management welcome. A welcome from a senior manager or your CEO is a great way to demonstrate that sustainability is taken seriously throughout the organisation and that employees will be supported and recognised for their contributions. Followed by an introduction from your session leader and a look at the importance of environmental issues for organisation.
Your business and the environment. Analysis and discussion of the environmental impacts of your organisation including a review of initiatives you have already implemented and savings achieved.
Targets and new initiatives. Launch of new initiatives, including those suggested by employees during the session, and, if applicable, explanation of how these fit into your business’s environmental management system.
Activities and exercises. Interactive activities throughout the session, to get employees thinking and stimulate discussion.
Volunteering & te
am building
For a full days experience for your employees, why not add a volunteer conservation or team-building session?
We have numerous projects to choose from including tree planting and footbridge building, volunteering at local community projects and adventure activities such as archery and wall climbing.
Venues & catering
If you would prefer to get out of the office, we can offer a range of inspiring external venues for you to hold your workshop including the award-winning Greenpower Centre in Fontwell or The Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst Place near Haywards Heath. We can also arrange fair-trade and locally sourced lunch and refreshments.
Who should attend?
The environmental performance of your business relies on the actions of all your employees. Workshops can be delivered for groups of 5 to 30. We can hold up to three sessions in a day so that none of your employees miss out.
