Presentations: Sustainable Business Breakfast – Chichester
There was a full house at our Sustainable Business Breakfast in Chichester on 21st March! Over 40 delegates from a wide range of organisations, including manufacturers, renewable energy installers, architects, care homes, social media experts and retailers attended the technology focussed event.
Graham Hazell from the Heat Pump Association provided an overview of air and ground source heat pumps, including the most appropriate situations for installation, costs and potential savings that could be achieved. Peter Newell from EMSc (UK) Ltd dispelled some of the myths around voltage optimisation and explained how to determine if the technology is right for your building. Gemma Lacey and Glenn Waters from The Southern Co-Operative presented a case study showcasing how they have reduced energy consumption by 14% across their refurbished stores. Delegates were then able to introduce themselves and their energy efficiency and environmental goals in our round-the-tables session.
The Sustainable Business Network links organisations keen to improve their environmental performance. Sustainable Business Breakfast learning and networking events are held bi-monthly, each focusing on a different topic, such as energy efficiency, waste minimisation and environmental management systems. Upcoming events are being held in Horsham and Shoreham-by-Sea. View event dates and venues.
