Network Update-May 2017
Welcome to May’s Network Update. This month: join us for the Sustainable Travel Event; Energy Efficiency Grants; Big Lemon launch day and welcome to our new team member Louise.

Energy Efficiency Grants
Apply for grants of up to £1,000 to cover 40% of the cost of an energy efficiency project, such as LED lighting, insulation or heating controls. Small and medium size businesses in East Sussex (excluding Brighton & Hove) are eligible.
Big Lemon Makes History
We recently attended the launch of the Big Lemon`s new solar powered electric buses.The two buses will soon operate from Woodingdean through to Brighton city center. The operation of the buses is carbon neutral and they hope to lead the charge in the revolution on sustainable transport.
Big Milestone For PaperRound
Paper Round have become the first waste management company in the UK to gain the Living Wage Foundation accreditation. The Sustainable Business Partnership is also a Living Wage Employer.
Welcome to our new Team Member
Louise Downey has joined SBP as Programme Manager for the ERDF Utilise Plus project. Louise is a Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (PIEMA) and has worked in the environmental sector since 2013. She is a strong believer in the potential for sustainability to drive business growth, competitiveness and resilience.
