Climate Emergency Design Guide
London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI) outline the requirements of new buildings to operate at net zero carbon in order to meet the climate change targets. They have identified five key elements for commercial offices that are laid out in the design guide.

Climate Citizens Assembly
Over four weekends, a group of chosen citizens will discuss a range of climate change issues with experts. They will decide on a set of recommendations how the government can reach its target of net-zero emissions by 2050. The results from the assembly will be made public in April and a debate in the House of Commons will follow. Read the article here.

The Energy Saving Trust recommends a range of low-carbon energy generation systems to install in your home or business which can help you cut costs and make you more resilient against rising energy prices. Increased focus on pedestrianisation of city centres is one of the major arguments to combat climate change. Creating car free zones in the urban centre is a step in the right direction to reach the goal of being carbon neutral by 2030, as promised by the Brighton and Hove City Council in January 2019. Sussex Marine Rewilding Project
Sussex is taking the lead with a new law helping to reduce carbon emissions by saving kelp forests from being destroyed through fishing activities. The seaweed removes up to 20 times more carbon than land forests per acre. Read full article.
