New Video Case Study: Turners Hill Primary School
Turners Hill Primary School in West Sussex has installed a range of technologies to generate their own electricity and improve energy and water efficiency. These include photovoltaic solar panels, wind turbines, an air source heat pump and a rainwater harvesting system. Watch the video on-line.
Latest Carbon Calculator
Defra’s greenhouse gas emissions calculator allows you to work out your organisation’s impact from a wide range of activities, including energy use, water supply and disposal, recycling and landfill. www.defra.gov.uk/publications/2012/05/30/pb13773-2012-ghg-conversion
Renewable Energy Grants for Community Organisations
EDF is offering grants of up to £30,000 to cover up to 50% of the capital costs of renewable energy projects at not-for-profit organisations including charities, schools and voluntary and community groups. Full details at: www.edfenergy.com/green-energy-fund
Energy Efficiency Grants for Community Buildings in Chichester District
Chichester District Council is offering grants of £10,000 and above to fund initiatives that improve the energy performance of community buildings.
